Course Overview
This course provides a complete and focused preparation for CSEC Physics, covering mechanics, thermal physics, waves, electricity and modern physics in one streamlined programme.
Students will develop:

WEEK 1 – MECHANICS
Overview
Students explore motion, forces, energy and measurement.
– Physical quantities and measurement
– Motion (speed, velocity, acceleration)
– Forces, moments and equilibrium
– Work, energy and power
WEEK 2 – THERMAL PHYSICS
Overview
Students understand heat, temperature and energy transfer.
– Temperature and heat transfer
– States of matter and kinetic theory
– Gas laws and expansion
– Specific heat capacity and latent heat
WEEK 3 – WAVES, LIGHT & SOUND
Overview
Students study wave behaviour and properties of light and sound.
– Wave properties (speed, frequency, wavelength)
– Sound and electromagnetic waves
– Reflection and refraction of light
– Lenses and optical instruments
WEEK 4 – ELECTRICITY, MAGNETISM & MODERN PHYSICS
Overview
Students examine electrical systems and atomic physics.
– Electric circuits and current
– Voltage, resistance and power
– Magnetism and electromagnetism
– Atomic structure and radiation + Exam practice
