Course Overview
This course provides a complete and focused preparation for CSEC Biology, covering core biological principles, life processes, and genetics in one streamlined programme.
Students will develop:

WEEK 1 – LIVING ORGANISMS & ENVIRONMENT
Overview
Students explore ecosystems, classification and environmental relationships.
– Classification of organisms and taxonomy
– Ecosystems, food chains and food webs
– Energy flow and nutrient cycles
– Impact of human activity on the environment
WEEK 2 – LIFE PROCESSES (PART 1)
Overview
Students develop understanding of cells and nutrition.
– Cell structure and functions (plant, animal, microbes)
– Diffusion, osmosis and active transport
– Photosynthesis and factors affecting it
– Nutrition and food tests
WEEK 3 – LIFE PROCESSES (PART 2)
Overview
Students study major systems and processes in organisms.
– Respiration (aerobic and anaerobic)
– Transport systems in plants and humans
– Excretion and homeostasis
– Movement, coordination and response
WEEK 4 – REPRODUCTION, GENETICS & DISEASE
Overview
Students examine reproduction, inheritance and disease.
– Reproduction in humans and plants
– Mitosis, meiosis and genetics
– Variation and inheritance
– Diseases and prevention + Exam practice
