CSEC MATHEMATICS
Course Overview
This course provides a complete and focused preparation for CSEC Mathematics, covering key concepts across number, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics in one streamlined programme.
Students will develop:

Course Content
WEEK 1 – NUMBER & CONSUMER ARITHMETIC
Overview
Students build a strong foundation in basic numerical skills and real-life calculations.
– Operations with whole numbers and decimals
– Fractions and percentages
– Ratio and proportion
– Consumer arithmetic (discount, profit, simple interest)
WEEK 2 – ALGEBRA & GRAPHS
Overview
Students develop algebraic skills used throughout the CSEC Mathematics exam..
– Simplifying expressions and substitution
– Solving linear equations
– Introduction to graphs
– Gradient and interpreting linear graphs
WEEK 3 – GEOMETRY & TRIGONOMETRY
Overview
Students explore shapes, angles, and trigonometric relationships.
– Angles and geometric properties
– Perimeter, area and volume
– Pythagoras’ theorem
– Trigonometric ratios (sin, cos, tan)
WEEK 4 – STATISTICS & EXAM PREPARATION
Overview
Students learn data handling and prepare for exam-style questions.
– Data collection and representation
– Mean, median, mode and range
– Probability basics
– Exam practice (Paper 1 & Paper 2 techniques)
