WEEK 1 – MAP WORK & GEOGRAPHICAL SKILLS
Overview Students build core skills in reading, interpreting, and analysing maps, essential for Paper 2 and SBA.
– Map reading (scale, distance, direction)
– Grid references & coordinates
– Relief & contour interpretation
– Map symbols, features & basic fieldwork skills
WEEK 2 – PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY (THE NATURAL WORLD)
Overview Students explore Earth’s natural systems and how landforms and climates shape the Caribbean.
Overview Students connect all topics to real-world development and prepare for exams.
– Use of natural resources (renewable vs non-renewable)
– Sustainable development & conservation
– Caribbean development challenges
– Exam practice (Paper 1 & Paper 2 techniques)
